Brennan is the story about the author who wrote the book "The Ragamuffin Gospel." Brennan Manning, an alcoholic ex-priest, has become famous for writing and preaching about the gospel of grace and the love of God, but behind the scenes is losing his marriage and his battle with alcohol. After speaking at a conference in San Diego his flight to New Orleans is cancelled due to a hurricane headed for the coast he must rely on a deeply broken man to get him home to save his marriage. This is a redemptive story about two ragamuffin strangers who become friends and as a result both learn from each other to not only know that God loves them but to experience that love. But to do that they both must come to believe that, "God loves them as they are, not as they should be, because none of us are as we should be."
